Hello Everyone! Are y’all staying warm?

Tomorrow is National Law Enforcement Appreciation Day, or LEAD for short. So, if you see a cop tomorrow, thank them. There are other ways of showing your gratitude to the men and women who put their lives on the line to help keep our neighborhoods safe, such as:

  • Buying them coffee, hot cocoa, breakfast or lunch;
  • Making them a meal, dessert, etc.;
  • Creating art, such as a picture, a slide show, or even singing a song;
  • Or, at the very least, you can open the door for them as you go about your daily errands.

About the only big thing going on around here, besides the bitterly cold weather and the Irving quakes, is this morning’s big fertilizer plant fire in Cash. The business was a total loss; however, there were NO injuries – and the Cash Volunteer Fire Department, with the help of several others, contained the fire before an explosion could occur. We all know very well what could have happened.

That being said, I hope everyone is nice and warm – and dressed in layers. Have a good night!
